The Organising Committee of the Indigenous Knowledge & Biodiversity Symposium invites researchers, Indigenous Knowledge holders, students, practitioners, policymakers, conservationists, and community organisations to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations.

The symposium provides a platform to exchange ideas, present innovative research, and strengthen collaborations that promote Indigenous Knowledge Systems, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable development.

Abstract Guidelines

Please ensure that your submission meets the following requirements:

  • Maximum 300 words
  • Written in English
  • Clearly state:
    • Background
    • Aim/Objectives
    • Methods
    • Results (or expected outcomes)
    • Conclusion
  • Include 3–5 keywords
  • Indicate your preferred presentation type
  • Only original work that has not been published elsewhere should be submitted.

Abstract Review Process

All abstracts will undergo a peer-review process conducted by the Symposium Scientific Committee.
